Microcement C6

Concrete elements, components and products are frequently included in urban, minimalist and contemporary arrangements. Combining them with solid wood elements or matte materials, of uniform color, have the role of emphasizing the naturalness of solid wood and concrete surfaces. We offer you a very resistant and easy to maintain material obtained by mixing concrete powder with special resins. The application of the concrete paste is done by our own team of builders and the result has a unique and very vivid look. The thickness of the concrete layer is of approximately 3 mm and on top of it we apply two layers of high quality lacquer, which ensures a very good protection of the surface. In fact, the microcement is generally used to make kitchen countertops and shower cabin interiors. Microcement C6 is a very wear-resistant finish that is very suitable for furniture in contemporary, modern, Scandinavian, urban and even rustic arrangements.

Color and gloss: The color of the Microcement C6 is the grey with darker and lighter areas that characterizes the concrete used in constructions. This finish is semi-matte, the degree of gloss being less than 10. Note: It should be noted that due to the manual preparation and application of the concrete paste, there may be small color differences from batch to batch. Therefore, in case of purchases at different times of some products in Microcement C6, products to be placed close to each other, in the same room, we recommend that you provide us with a reference sample from the previously purchased product or some pictures containing also a reference item or color (for example, a sheet of white paper). Being a varnish with good UV resistance, the color will be stable and will not change significantly over time. Texture, appearance and touch: The look is that of concrete used in construction. Traces of applying and spreading the concrete paste with a trowel will be visible. These are the ones that give uniqueness and life to the surface. The surface is smooth and the touch is pleasant. The microcement is slightly colder to the touch than solid wood, but warmer than marble or glass. The smell: Once the coating is completely dried and matured, the only perceptible odor will be that of oak wood. Physical properties: The lacquer used is of very good quality and offers an increased resistance to scratches and wear. In fact, this finish is also used to make kitchen countertops. This lacquer has a pretty good UV resistance, the color will be stable and will not change significantly over time. Maintenance: The maintenance is easy to do. The lacquer offers a good protection against dirt and stains.
For dust removal and for regular surface maintenance, use a dry, soft, clean, non-abrasive cloth.
To remove the spilled liquids from the surface, use initially an absorbent material (paper towel, soft and clean cloth), after which wipe again the surface with a dry, soft and clean cloth. The wiping should be done along the direction of the wood fiber. Even if the coating resists well to liquids, it is still advisable not to delay the removal of spilled liquids, especially in the case of the pigmented ones.
To remove dry stains or stubborn dirt, use a clean and non-abrasive slightly damp cloth (in water or in a diluted solution containing water and a mild detergent or soap), after which wipe again the surface with a dry, soft and clean cloth.
In all the cases described above, you should avoid applying pressure to the surface you are cleaning and do not insist too much on a certain area as you will change the degree of gloss of that area (the action is similar to polishing).
Do not use for cleaning and maintenance sprays and universal cleaning products, abrasive paper, steel wool or corrosive products as they can attack the lacquer film generating traces that cannot be removed. "Pronto" type products that contain wax can change the gloss of the surface.
Aggressive substances such as acetone, thinners, concentrated alcohols, etc. should never touch the lacquered surfaces.
We recommend the periodic repositioning of decorative objects placed on the finished surfaces.
The placement of furniture in direct sunlight or near heat sources that can "wash" wooden surfaces (fireplace, radiator, strong lamps, etc.) should be avoided. The ideal humidity in the room is between 40% and 60%. Too low or too high can damage the furniture.
In case of significant surface damage (for example: scratches) it will be necessary to remove the lacquer by light sanding and to apply a new layer of lacquer.
